Pernilla's Something Swedish

Over Halloween weekend, I was featured in a BNR Treasury on Etsy.com along with some other crafty ladies. One of them, was PernillasSS. She makes gourmet candy and one of a kind jewelry pieces. As soon as I saw her fudge, I knew I had to try it! I'm glad I ordered some, because it's AMAZING! I was so excited when It arrived, that I almost tore into it with out taking pictures. Luckily the fact that it was so beautifully wapped reminded me. ;)
Pernilla ships very quickly, and her quality is top notch!

Sisters

I have absolutely no idea where it came from, But somehow we ended up being some crafty ladies!

Suzanne (Sorry Clementine) Wendy (Astucieux) Aimee (Flitryss)

Aimee: Aimee makes the most amazing headbands! She hand crafts them with insane amounts of detail!

This ones MINE!!! Muahaha ;) As you can see, Flitryss goes to great lengths to make Unique and Detailed "Art For Your Head" as she calls it. Her Etsy Shop is a little sparse right now, But that's because she is stock piling all of her creations for her Craft Sabbath debut this Sunday! If you live near SLC, We'll be there so come check it out!

Suzanne: She makes AMAZING handmade clothing and accessories! Anything from handbags, Headbands, to All types of RAD Clothing!

Suzanne has been making clothes since we were kids, and with 10+ years of experience, she really does take her unique clothing to the next level. And she inspires me on a daily basis. <3 She is Sorry Clementine (A cute play off of her name) She will also be at this Sundays Craft Sabbath! I will be running her booth since she is out of town.

Wendy: ME! Obviously if you are reading this, you know I make clothes ;)

I just wanted to express how neat I think it is that I share a love for crafting with my extremely talented sisters. Check out their creations, and show them some love!

Vintage Meets Hardcore

**Item Pictured has been sold**

A few nights ago really wanted to challenge myself. Some things are extremely easy for me to make, and that makes it not as much fun for me. I know exactly how the thing will turn out... Like its "Safe".
I decided that I wanted to make something completely new to me... And this was the result! I feel like it has a vintage feel to it, but the bodice fabric has guns/diamonds/broken hearts on it! This dress is definitely my favorite item to date! Its completely lined, and has a falling cowl neckline. For how complex this dress was to make, It looked slightly simple when I finally got it on Merideth (My mannequin) so I thought it needed to be paired with a high waisted belt... And I loved it! I'm going to start working on more obscure designs and see where it takes me ;)

Presents in the mail!

Ok, So I can't be the only person in the world that gets all sorts of giddy when I know I am going to receive a package in the mail... Kind of like a little kid on Christmas Eve.

Today I got LOTS of presents! The majority of them were from Vistaprint.com. One thing I love about vistaprint is that once you get your logo uploaded, you can get sooo much stuff for CHEAP! -Yes, I'm a total dork and got a hat... ;) My one complaint would be that the shirts are VERY LOW QUALITY. The print is still slightly sticky to the touch, and the image is choppy and discolored. Everything else however, is excellent quality, and I couldn't be happier!
The white tube is a 3' vinyl banner with my logo on it, and I'm pretty much in love with it. I'm still confused by the fact that they can make a three foot banner look crisp and professional, But a small image on a Tshirt looks like crap : /  Oh well. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I'm used to using a screen printer.

My other presents from today:
Poly mailing bags- FINALLY! I hate using paper mailing envelopes... My apologies to those who have received them from me recently, I can't buy the Poly ones locally so I had to wait for them to get here.
Black Tshirt Knit- I ran out on Sunday, So I ordered more, and it arrived today! Not bad :)

Alright, I'm off to work! Hopefully someday I can just sew full time and not have to be a slave to the man! ;)

Where sewing machines go to die...

So..  It's almost 6am! And no.. I haven't slept yet! For the past 7 hours I have been moving my sewing room. I had no idea how much stuff I had, and had I known there is no way I would have started it at 11pm! It feels so much better though, I am working in a much bigger space now so everything isn't so cramped. After moving everything around, I realized that I have a graveyard for old sewing machines/sergers! I thought it was too funny, because a NORMAL person would have just fixed the broken sewing machine or serger but no... Not me! I couldn't handle the two weeks of not having it while it was being repaired, So I just bought new ones. -I know, I'm crazy. But... I have actually started getting them fixed! The serger on the far right now works, So I now have two functional sergers which is GREAT for me considering the luck I have with them acting like jerks! Actually, I have had great luck with my current serger (Its a Juki) it's been running for over three years now without a hiccup! *Knocks on wood. The ones that have broken on me in the past are Singer and Brother brand... I just don't think they are built to last. Juki's on the other hand might be twice the price, but they are WORK HORSES! Haha well this post has become free advertisement for Juki I guess! But seriously people, If you are in the market for a serger, Don't bother with the other brands. :) Juki's where its at!

Slaving Away

Recently I decided I needed to take things to the next level, and I wanted to make clothing tags. After hours of cutting, tying, sticking and pinning... They are done!
