Free Bath & Body Works Lotions + Makeup Bag

Paris Amour

Paris Amour:
BBW describes this scent as "A dreamy blend of French tulips, apple blossoms and sparkling pink champagne, inspired by a romantic stroll through the streets of Paris"

Personally, I think its a nice mellow floral. I can't detect the individual notes but its a nice combination. It doesn't wisp me off to Paris when I apply it, But It does smell wonderful. After trying it I would have paid for a bottle had I not gotten one for free. I adore the BBW lotions since I find them to be very moisturizing (although I prefer the 3x body creams) but without leaving my feeling greasy.

Bath & Body Works just released a new scent called "Paris Amour". I saw on their Facebook page that if you brought your current issue of Seventeen Magazine into the store and showed them the coupon on page 20, they would give you a free FULL SIZE bottle. I personally don't buy Seventeen, But I do own a Nook Color. On the Nook, You can download the current issue of any magazine and try it free for 14 days. I downloaded the current issue, cancelled my subscription and drove to my local BBW.
I had never used a coupon on my Nook before, So I was kind of worried about them not accepting my version of the magazine. Turns out the manager of my local BBW is a Nook Nerd too! She thought it was neat that I was using my Nook and we decided to become "Nook Friends" so we could lend books to each other.
The Cashier handed me my free bottle of Paris Amour and a coupon for the coming Saturday. The coupon offered a Free pink makeup bag, and Free full size bottle of a lotion (Charmed Life) that's not being released til October with purchase or any signature collection item.

Charmed Life

Charmed Life:
BBW describes this scent as "A sparkling blend of bright fruits, dazzling pink pepper, and frosted white orchids lets your spoil yourself every day. Charmed Life is a part of Bath & Body Works’ “Sexy” collection, a set of scents designed to make you feel alluring, confident and sensual."

Personally, I can smell a whole lot of orchids. After the dry down all I smell is baby powder. Lots and lots of baby powder. I for one, do not like smelling like baby powder. I know LOTS of women do though. If you think about every major deodorant company, they ALL have a 'powder' scent. Why? Women dig it. I have never enjoyed the smell because it only reminds me of babies. Not just babies, But baby diapers. I won't be repurchasing this lotion when it comes out, and will probably give this one away.

After purchasing Paris Amour, I decided to go back on Saturday to get the free yet to be released Charmed life and the free bag. While I was there I purchased a travel size bottle (the coupon said a Signature collection item with no oz restriction) Paris Amour for $1 and got my free bag and lotion. I may not love both of the lotions but at the end of the day you can't beat getting 18oz's of lotion and a makeup bag with a cute little Eiffel Tower as the zipper for $1

Confession: I'm a material girl.

I like to buy things. I never really knew this about myself until I got married and we bought our own house and I got addicted to the thrill of filling it with pretty things. Now I've become one of those people who constantly stalks the post man because I'm looking forward to receiving my coveted "presents" in the mail. After admitting this about myself and to my husband I have decided to review the random things I buy. Why? Because every time I need/want something I look for reviews on them. Sadly, I can rarely find any information on the things I need so I take a chance and buy them hoping they fit/function well. I figure I can't possibly be the only person out there that needs a wireless remote for a Pentax K10D but doesn't know what after market device is compatible, And refuses to pay $40 for a Pentax brand one. I ended up finding the perfect remote after hours of searching for under $1 and it works wonderfully.
Over the past few years I have purchased everything from camera lens covers to vibrating cock rings from websites and local stores so I figure I'll have quite a bit to review. I also LOVE finding things on sale and will mention those as well.

*I would like to state that I may like to buy things, But I don't own a single credit card. I am in no way trying to promote living beyond your means by posting things that I purchase, and I work extremely hard and earn every cent that I spend. I've never (Since becoming an adult) paid a bill late and (before you start picturing me as one of "those people" on Hoarders) my house is clean and organized. ;)

Pernilla's Something Swedish

Over Halloween weekend, I was featured in a BNR Treasury on Etsy.com along with some other crafty ladies. One of them, was PernillasSS. She makes gourmet candy and one of a kind jewelry pieces. As soon as I saw her fudge, I knew I had to try it! I'm glad I ordered some, because it's AMAZING! I was so excited when It arrived, that I almost tore into it with out taking pictures. Luckily the fact that it was so beautifully wapped reminded me. ;)
Pernilla ships very quickly, and her quality is top notch!

Sisters

I have absolutely no idea where it came from, But somehow we ended up being some crafty ladies!

Suzanne (Sorry Clementine) Wendy (Astucieux) Aimee (Flitryss)

Aimee: Aimee makes the most amazing headbands! She hand crafts them with insane amounts of detail!

This ones MINE!!! Muahaha ;) As you can see, Flitryss goes to great lengths to make Unique and Detailed "Art For Your Head" as she calls it. Her Etsy Shop is a little sparse right now, But that's because she is stock piling all of her creations for her Craft Sabbath debut this Sunday! If you live near SLC, We'll be there so come check it out!

Suzanne: She makes AMAZING handmade clothing and accessories! Anything from handbags, Headbands, to All types of RAD Clothing!

Suzanne has been making clothes since we were kids, and with 10+ years of experience, she really does take her unique clothing to the next level. And she inspires me on a daily basis. <3 She is Sorry Clementine (A cute play off of her name) She will also be at this Sundays Craft Sabbath! I will be running her booth since she is out of town.

Wendy: ME! Obviously if you are reading this, you know I make clothes ;)

I just wanted to express how neat I think it is that I share a love for crafting with my extremely talented sisters. Check out their creations, and show them some love!

Vintage Meets Hardcore

**Item Pictured has been sold**

A few nights ago really wanted to challenge myself. Some things are extremely easy for me to make, and that makes it not as much fun for me. I know exactly how the thing will turn out... Like its "Safe".
I decided that I wanted to make something completely new to me... And this was the result! I feel like it has a vintage feel to it, but the bodice fabric has guns/diamonds/broken hearts on it! This dress is definitely my favorite item to date! Its completely lined, and has a falling cowl neckline. For how complex this dress was to make, It looked slightly simple when I finally got it on Merideth (My mannequin) so I thought it needed to be paired with a high waisted belt... And I loved it! I'm going to start working on more obscure designs and see where it takes me ;)

Presents in the mail!

Ok, So I can't be the only person in the world that gets all sorts of giddy when I know I am going to receive a package in the mail... Kind of like a little kid on Christmas Eve.

Today I got LOTS of presents! The majority of them were from Vistaprint.com. One thing I love about vistaprint is that once you get your logo uploaded, you can get sooo much stuff for CHEAP! -Yes, I'm a total dork and got a hat... ;) My one complaint would be that the shirts are VERY LOW QUALITY. The print is still slightly sticky to the touch, and the image is choppy and discolored. Everything else however, is excellent quality, and I couldn't be happier!
The white tube is a 3' vinyl banner with my logo on it, and I'm pretty much in love with it. I'm still confused by the fact that they can make a three foot banner look crisp and professional, But a small image on a Tshirt looks like crap : /  Oh well. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I'm used to using a screen printer.

My other presents from today:
Poly mailing bags- FINALLY! I hate using paper mailing envelopes... My apologies to those who have received them from me recently, I can't buy the Poly ones locally so I had to wait for them to get here.
Black Tshirt Knit- I ran out on Sunday, So I ordered more, and it arrived today! Not bad :)

Alright, I'm off to work! Hopefully someday I can just sew full time and not have to be a slave to the man! ;)
